Acolytes are members of the congregation who help
with the worship service. Our acolytes enter
the church in procession at the beginning of the
service, carrying banners, candle lighters, flags,
bible, and/or other instruments. |
Christian Education: Sis.

To develop/provide a comprehensive and unified
program of Christian Education which leads to a
knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the
values set forth in the Holy Scriptures, the
Christian Religion, the Christian Church Universal,
and the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
New Members and Discipleship training are elements
of this ministry. It shall work diligently to
encourage members to implement and apply these
values to their daily living. |
Class Leaders

To seek the power of godliness by uniting as members
to pray together, meet together, watch over
probationers; report those who are sick, and collect
for the support of the Gospel. |
Commission on Public
Relations/Communications: Sis. Jackie O'Neal
To provide all audio and visual needs for the church
to aid in the teaching of God's word; spreading of
God's word; ministering to the sick and shut in by
producing tapes of the pastor's sermons and other
church events. |
Culinary Arts
Ministry:

To provide food/meals in times of sorrow,
celebration and need. The ministry strives to
promote spiritual fellowship by helping to serve in
the Lord's bounty. |
Drama Ministry:

To minister to and serve our church and community by
presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ using
Christian art and drama to enhance and enrich our
outreach opportunities. |
Evangelism Ministry:

To encourage and organize for church growth; to
bring salvation and hope to the lost; to assist the
Pastor in leading all people to accept our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ through the guiding power of the
Holy Spirit. |

Lay Organization:

To stimulate and educate the laity in the total
program of the church by creating opportunities to
learn our history, study the Discipline, teach and
practice stewardship, and encourage financial
support of the Church's program. |
Liturgical Dance &
Hands of Praise Ministry:
To present the gospel through dance, mime, and
flag ministry in a manner that draws unbelievers and
prompts Christians to praise God. The ministry
is open to all, regardless of age or gender. |
Music Ministry:

The music ministry serves two functions:
1) To enhance all aspects of worship and for the
preservation of our great African American religious
musical heritage. 2) To present the gospel in
music form in a manner that draws unbelievers and
prompts Christians to praise, listen, examine,
accept, serve, evangelize, give and depend on Jesus. |
Nehemiah Ministry:
Bro. Leonard Bradley
To properly secure church buildings and parking
areas. To monitor and assist in emergencies
that may occur. To provide safe guidance to
members and friends visiting our faith community. |
New Life Ministry:
The African Methodist Episcopal Church requires that every member complete
new member's training. These classes are designed to equip the
church with individuals who know and understand 1) the Word of God and 2)
the African Methodist Episcopal Church. |
Nursery Ministry:

Nurses' Ministry:
To provide first aid support for regular church
services and special events, assist with infants and
toddlers as needed, and said families during time f
bereavement. |
Pastor's Advocacy:
To provide support to the Pastor and the first
family through special programs. To
acknowledge first family special occasions (i.e.
birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, etc). |
Pulpit Aide
Ministry:

the church with appropriate flowers for Sunday
worship service, and other special
occasions/seasons. To properly maintain all
plants in the church facilities. |

To assist the church and its ministries in our
educational pursuits by planning, developing and
implementing workshops, seminars, retreats, and
other training opportunities. |
Senior Citizens
Ministry:

seniors in their commitment to seek a deeper and
closer relationship with the Lord. |
Sons of Allen:

Transportation

the church van to worship service, bible study, and

Women's Missionary
